Voices from past editions

What delegates say

Reflections from those who attended the 1st and 2nd editions of the symposium.

I have attended many conferences on development in this country. Very few of them put a market woman, a permanent secretary and a software engineer on the same panel. The Ajiboshin Symposium does, and that is precisely why the conversation goes somewhere.
P

Prof. Adebayo Oluwaseun

Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ibadan

The second edition was the first time anybody asked us directly what technology would mean for our trade. We were not spoken about. We were spoken to. I left with contacts that changed how our association works.
H

Hajia Fatimah Adeyemi

Chairperson, Ogun State Market Women Association

What struck me was the seriousness. No long speeches for the sake of it. The Convenor keeps the room focused on what will actually be done afterwards, and then follows up. Two of the partnerships we announced there are still running.
E

Engr. Tunde Bakare-Ogun

Founder, Lagos-based technology firm

Our young people saw what is possible. Some of them are now in the mentorship circle, and one is on scholarship. That is the real fruit of the symposium: it does not end when everyone goes home.
C

Chief (Mrs.) Bolanle Adewale

Community leader, Owu Kingdom

Find answers to commonly asked questions about the symposium.

Still stuck? Contact us →
Is admission free?

Yes. Attendance at the Ajiboshin Symposium is completely free. However the auditorium has a fixed capacity, so seats are allocated on registration and we do close registration once capacity is reached.

Where exactly is the venue?

The Main Auditorium of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, Ogun State. The evening dinner holds at the Small Marquee within the same complex.

What time should I arrive?

Registration and arrival open from 11:00 AM. Proceedings begin promptly at 12:00 Noon, so we advise arriving at least 45 minutes early to be seated.

How does the QR ticket work?

After registering you receive an email containing a unique QR code. Present it at the entrance, printed or on your phone, and it will be scanned to admit you. Each code admits one delegate.

Can I attend the dinner as well?

Yes, but dinner seats are separately limited. Tick the dinner option when registering. If it is already full you will be placed on a waiting list.

I did not receive my confirmation email.

Check your spam or promotions folder first. If it is still missing, email ajiboshinsymposium@gmail.com with the name and phone number you registered with and we will resend your ticket.

Can I attend virtually?

Yes. Select "Virtual" as your attendance mode when registering and a stream link will be sent to you ahead of the day.

How can I sponsor or partner with the symposium?

We welcome partnership. Please write to ajiboshinsymposium@gmail.com with details of your organisation and we will send the sponsorship prospectus.
